Matthew Watts

Solicitor

Matthew is a Solicitor in our Wills & Probate team.

Matthew graduated from Swansea University in 2018 with a Law LLB (Hons) degree and his Legal Practice Course (LPC). After which he began his legal career working as a Trust and Estate administration Paralegal in a firm in Cardiff.

Matthew joined Harding Evans as a Paralegal in September 2021 before commencing his training contact with Harding Evans in January 2024. After successful completion of his training contract, Matthew qualified as Solicitor with Harding Evans in January 2025 and continues to work in both our Newport and Cardiff Wills & Probate teams.

Matthew specialises in estate administration and preparation of Wills, Trusts and Lasting Powers of Attorney.

Matthew says the best part about his job role is getting to meet new clients and helping them through their matter, especially as it can be such a distressing and upsetting period.

Outside the office, Matthew is a big foodie, trying or cooking anything new, he is also into anything geeky.
