A Wyn-Win for HardingEvans with Equity Partnership promotion

Newport-based law firm, HardingEvans has announced the promotion of partner and head of conveyancing, Wyn Williams, to equity partner.

At the age of 37, Wyn is the firm’s youngest ever equity partner and will head up the 20 strong team at the Residential Conveyancing Department.

Originally from Aberaeron, Wyn studied for his LLB at the University of Glamorgan, before joining HardingEvans in 2003 after qualifying.

Since then, Wyn has held a number of senior positions at the firm, including associate and partner. He has experience in a range of residential property matters including sales, purchases, remortgages, and agricultural property and auction sales, and as a first language Welsh speaker, he conducts some of his work, such as property transactions, in Welsh.

He has also spoken out publicly on a number of property issues which affect the Welsh public, including changes to stamp duty.

On his appointment, Wyn said:

“I’ve always enjoyed working in property law as it allows me to interact with a variety of different clients, so it’s nice to be doing something different from one week to the next. Being at HardingEvans has allowed me to work across a range of residential property cases over the years, which has helped to broaden my experience of the field and provided me with plenty of new challenges.

“I am extremely pleased to become equity partner at HardingEvans and look forward to working closely with the management board, as well as contributing to the ongoing growth of the Residential Conveyancing Department and the success of the firm.”

Commenting on the promotion, Zep Bellavia, managing partner at HardingEvans, said:

“At HardingEvans we love developing, nurturing and rewarding talent from within the business. Wyn has worked his way through the ranks since starting with us in 2003, and has earned this promotion through his hard work on behalf of thousands of satisfied clients.

“He has also provided an invaluable contribution to the success and growth of our Residential Conveyancing team, which has gone from strength to strength thanks to Wyn’s dedication and expertise. We are delighted to welcome him to the equity partnership, and look forward to helping him to continue to grow at the firm.”

HardingEvans is one of South Wales’ most progressive law firms, offering a full range of legal services to businesses and individuals. It is a previous winner of Western Mail’s Welsh Law Firm of the year. For more information go to www.hardingevans.com
