Senior Associate Paralegal Debra King started as a secretary with Harding Evans in March 2000. She was assigned to the Clinical Negligence Department to work for Ken Thomas. Debra obtained her Paralegal Qualification in 2004 and has progressed in her career to legal assistant in 2004, paralegal in 2007, Associate Paralegal in 2015 and Senior Associate Paralegal in 2021.
Debra has her own busy caseload, having a special interest in Cauda Equina cases, along with cases involving maternity care, hospital falls and pressure sores, although she has conducted all sorts of cases since qualifying. She is Redress Liaison and conducts most of the cases that come to the team as part of the Putting Things Right Scheme (the complaints Scheme in Wales). She also works closely with the other fee earners in the department to assist and advise. Debra also works closely with IT to develop internal procedures and assists the management team with various initiatives.
Debra is a passionate advocate, offering a caring and empathetic service during the aftermath of what has often been a traumatic time for her clients.
