Introducing our Fixed Fee Support Service for Covid Employment Law Advice

The Covid pandemic has thrown up a huge range of employment issues since it began. For many employers, it has been a challenging and confusing time, with Government support and advice constantly changing and evolving.

Whether you’re looking at restructuring, relying on the Job Retention Scheme, dealing with employees who are reluctant to attend work, or facilitating your employees’ return to work, as an employer, you’re being confronted with all sorts of challenges that you have never had to face before.

Supporting small businesses

We recognise that owner-managed companies and smaller businesses in particular will struggle to have the time to investigate the legal implications around the many staffing decisions they will have to make.

With this in mind, we have introduced a fixed fee support service for businesses with less than 50 employees, giving you access to the employment law advice and documentation that you need at this difficult and unprecedented time. This will allow you to secure expert legal advice at a fixed price and get answers to all your employment law related questions throughout the pandemic, without having to worry about escalating fees.

The package will run until the end of January and will incorporate regular updates on employment-related support packages and documentation to record agreements reached with employees to comply with the requirements of the various Government support schemes.

What’s included?

Our fixed fee COVID-19 employment support service incorporates a bundle of editable documents designed to meet your needs, including:

  • Access to key policies, templates, and letters to help you tackle employment issues, such as:
    • Homeworking
    • Advice on accessing the Job Support Scheme
    • Varying employment contracts
  • Redundancy advice, support & guidance

You’ll be entitled to up to 5 hours of support from our team of qualified employment lawyers (by email, phone – whatever best meets your needs) to help with drafting and advice for implementation as well as getting all the updates you need on key Covid-related employment issues.

We’ll keep you updated as you use your support hours. You can top up with additional support hours as you need them. All you need to do is speak to our team of advisors and tell us what you’d like us to do. In the interests of transparency, we’ll agree all costs in advance for complete peace of mind.

One less worry

Our new service is designed to provide certainty to small businesses who might otherwise be put off seeking legal advice to manage their employment law issues.

Our aim is to deliver value to our clients, provide certainty with costs and be a sounding board for SMEs. We want to help ensure that our clients are protected going forward, both during the toughest of times and when life eventually begins to get back to normal.

Complying with social distancing

As much as we’d love to meet in person, we recognise that this is difficult at this time. If Government guidelines do allow us to meet face-to-face, we will obviously adhere to social distancing, but we’re also able to handle everything over the phone, by email or video call. You’ll be sent all of the necessary documents electronically, so when you need them, you’ll be ready to go.
