Partner | Head of Family & Matrimonial

Leah is Head of the Family & Matrimonial team at Harding Evans and a Partner at the firm, having joined in August 2020.

Originally from Aberdare and now living in Cardiff, Leah has over 17 years’ experience in family law and qualified as a solicitor in March 2013. She holds a BA in Law from Cardiff University and completed her postgraduate studies through the Legal Practice Course (LPC).

Leah specialises in complex financial matters arising from divorce and separation, with particular expertise in financial remedy proceedings involving businesses corporate interests and complex farming estates. She also advises clients on a wide range of family law matters, including disputes regarding children’s living arrangements and the time they spend with each parent, divorce, the valuation and division of property and assets, and pension equalisation following separation.

Passionate about achieving the best possible outcomes for her clients, Leah is known for her compassionate and practical approach. She takes pride in supporting clients through some of the most challenging periods of their lives, handling difficult issues on their behalf, and helping them move forward positively at the end of the process.

Leah has played a key role in the growth and success of Harding Evans’ Family team, expanding the department under her leadership from three solicitors to six. The team was recognised with the Family Law Services of the Year award at the Welsh Law Awards, reflecting the department’s commitment to delivering outstanding client service and high-quality legal advice.

Leah has also contributed  significantly to Harding Evans’ wider social impact work, supporting the firm in achieving recognition at the Legal News Wales Awards. Under her leadership, the Family team has maintained strong rankings in both Chambers and Legal 500, retaining a Tier 2 ranking in both publications. Harding Evans has also been recognised as one of the top two in Wales in Legal 500, with client feedback highlighting the firm’s excellent service and commitment  to clients.

A member of Resolution and the Law Society, Leah is committed to promoting constructive and supportive approaches within family law.

Leah is also passionate about improving access to legal support. She has been names on the Pro Bono Recognition List of England & Wales for the past two years in recognition of her contribution to LGBTQI+ legal services through pro bono clinic work, including providing over 25 hours of free legal assistance in the last year.

Outside of work, Leah enjoys antiquing, music and travelling to Lisbon, Portugal whenever she can.
