Afonwy graduated in Law with Business from the University of Portsmouth in 2008 before completing a masters degree in legal practice at Cardiff University in 2010.

Afonwy qualified as a solicitor in 2014 and trained with a firm in Oxfordshire. Upon completing her training contract she moved to Cardiff where she worked at a Top 100 firm in Cardiff City Centre. Afonwy joined Harding Evans in August 2020 where she works in the Cardiff office in the Wills & Probate Team.

Afonwy specialises in the administration of estates and trusts and advises clients on estate planning and Wills. She has a particular interest in probate and trusts and acts as a professional trustee.

Afonwy is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and holds the prestigious TEP designation, widely recognised as the benchmark qualification for private client professionals worldwide. She currently serves as Deputy Chair of STEP Wales, contributing to the leadership of the organisation within the region.

Afonwy is also a fully accredited member of Lifetime Laywers (previously Solicitors for the Elderly) – a group of like minded lawyers specialising in mental capacity and vulnerable clients.

Afonwy’s clients have described her as caring and professional.

Outside of work, Afonwy enjoys walking in the Welsh countryside, reading, and dining out with friends.
