David qualified in 1991 and has specialised in family law throughout his career, becoming one of the most senior practitioners in the field in Wales. He joins Harding Evans after 20 years at Wendy Hopkins and has been ranked by both Chambers and The Legal 500 for the past decade.
Speaking on his move, David said “Harding Evans is a firm that I have admired from a distance for a number of years, owing to the quality of the Family Law work that they conduct. I am fortunate to know some members of the Family team and when this opportunity arose it instinctively felt like the right move, at the right time. I am very grateful for the warm welcome and excited to be working with such an accomplished team and I’m looking forward to the new challenges ahead.”
Leah Thomas, Head of the Family & Matrimonial team at Harding Evans, added “I’m delighted to welcome David to the Family & Matrimonial team. David brings more than 30 years of experience to the team. I have always looked up to David as a leader in his field, and his appointment is a brilliant addition for us. His depth of knowledge and expertise will be a real asset as we continue to grow and strengthen the team, and I’m very much looking forward to working alongside him.”
The Family and Matrimonial team at Harding Evans has grown significantly over the past three years and now comprises six solicitors. The team was named Family Team of the Year at the 2025 Welsh Law Awards and has recently been shortlisted for Regional Firm of the Year at the national Financial Remedies Awards.
