Harding Evans’ Cardiff office have selected City Hospice as its Charity of the Year and will support the charity by fundraising through a number of events and activities.

The funds raised by Harding Evans will help City Hospice continue to provide specialist at-home palliative care to patients with terminal or life limiting illnesses in Cardiff. The charity also provides specialist bereavement counselling and services for families.

Haley Evans, Marketing & Communications Manager said “It’s so important to us that we are truly part of the communities that we are based in and give back as much as we can. Our Cardiff office is based just down the road from City Hospice, in the heart of Whitchurch and when the time came to choose a local charity to partner with, the team voted unanimously to support the great work of the hospice.

We will be looking to hold regular fundraising events within the office, with a ‘charity committee’ meeting quarterly to outline activities for the team to take part in. We will also look to join in with any events that City Hospice will be organising, such as supporting this years’ Forever Flowers campaign and taking part in the Road to the Rugby World Cup challenge!

City Hospice provides vital care to our community, and we look forward to raising as much money as we can, as well as having fun along the way!”

Mac Smith, Fundraising & Events Manager, said:

“We are so excited to be Harding Evans Charity of the Year, thank you so much for your support and for helping us raise awareness of the vital work City Hospice provides. We look forward to working with you this year!”

The team will be kicking off the fundraising by taking part in the ‘Road to the Rugby World Cup’ challenge. Nine members of the Harding Evans team; Afonwy, Alison, Delyth, Gian, Haley, Luisa and Rebecca, have pledged to walk the distance from Cardiff to Paris and back throughout August, which is a total of 900 miles – that’s 100 miles each!
