Key duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Managing all client work allocated and in accordance with detailed procedures and quality standards contained in the firm’s Office Manual.
  • To act as first point of contact with new client enquiries and take initial instructions to be referred to a partner.
  • To meet clients for the purposes of taking instructions/executing documents/any other necessary tasks, both in and out of the office.
  • To prepare reports, file notes or briefing notes.
  • To ensure that all client work is progressed expeditiously and that the client is kept regularly informed on progress and on costs.
  • At all times to exercise high standards of client care in a professional and pleasant manner.
  • In conjunction with the firm, to comply with the relevant training requirements of the Law Society and to assist with in-house training as may be required.
  • In liaison with Head of department and other partners, to be active in promoting the services of the firm and its image and ethos.
You’ll need: 
  • A Law degree and LPC/GDL
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in a Commercial Property Law Department
  • To be IT Literate and experience of using Microsoft Office packages
  • An excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and deal with competing demands.
  • Good commercial awareness.
  • An ability to undertake Land Registry applications for registration of title and unregistered land.
  • Experience of undertaking LTT and/or SDLT returns.
