HardingEvans Solicitors and their clients are behind the latest fund raising initiative in support of Sport Relief. Joining the ‘Shirt of Hurt’ campaign which was originally started by Radio 5 LIVE DJ, Danny Baker, solicitors and staff at HardingEvans in Newport have started a "Just Giving” page specifically to encourage clients and contacts to take up the challenge. To help launch the fundraiser, they have enlisted the support of Sam Warburton, Wales Rugby Captain, and a client from their sports law division.
Sam says "When my friends at HardingEvans asked me to wear a ‘Shirt of Hurt’ for the day I jumped at the chance to support Sport Relief. As a fiercely loyal Tottenham Hotspur fan, the wearing of an Arsenal shirt for a day will not come easy but I am hoping that making this sacrifice will encourage others to not only join in the campaign by either wearing their own ‘Shirt of Hurt’ or sponsoring colleagues and friends who are brave enough to take up the challenge.”
Joy Phillips, Practice Director at HardingEvans explains "Many of our colleagues are huge sports fans and the opportunity to raise funds on the back of some light hearted banter between us was too good to miss! Rather than keep all the fun to ourselves, we thought we would challenge other professionals and clients from our networks to join in to raise as much as we can for such a good cause.”
So on Monday, February 13th, HardingEvans is laying down the gauntlet! They will challenge friends, family and all their business contacts to join the cause – wear a ‘Shirt of Hurt’ and donate money to Sport Relief 2012 by going to our Shirt of Hurt ‘Just Giving’ page.
