Harding Evans' team includes 5
duty solicitors, each approved by the Legal Services Commission
- available 24hrs a day, 365 days a year for advice and representation
at police stations throughout Wales and the South West. The department
is committed to providing full support to its clients.
We are equipped to deal with the full range of
problems that can arise in the criminal justice system. Whether
you are being investigated by the Police, the DVLA, the DSS, the
taxman, or need to appeal a decision, Harding Evans has experienced
solicitors ready to assist you.
The department contains members of the Law Society's
Serious Crime Panel. The firm tackles all issues arising from the
implementation of the Human Rights Act in Britain. We are contracted
to provide assistance through the Community Legal Service (formally
known as Legal Aid) which means that most representation is free
of charge. We also offer competitive rates if legal aid is not available.
The team is led by Mike Sage who used to
prosecute matters in London at the highest level and he heads
a team of court accredited duty solicitors and a range of
other lawyers who specialise in criminal law.
Andrea completed her legal studies
at Swansea University and Cardiff Law School. She undertakes
a wide range of criminal matters in the department and is
also fluent in Spanish.
Ben completed his legal
studies at the University of Glamorgan where he also completed
his LPC. He is based in the Criminal Law Department where he
undertakes a varied caseload.
Catherine is currently a paralegal and she undertakes a variety of work in our crime department. She completed her legal studies degree at the University of Glamorgan.
