Welsh Law Firm of the Year Harding Evans has
expanded their specialist employment law department with the
appointment of a barrister who is also qualified as a solicitor.
Jeremy Consitt, 27, is one of only a few lawyers in South Wales to
hold both titles which allows an increased quality of advocacy in
Tribunals and more specialist knowledge in his field and will also
save clients having to pay for a separate barrister.
He has a wealth of experience and undertakes a
range of work including drafting terms and conditions, contracts of
employment, discrimination (including disability, religion/belief
and sexual orientation) as well as disciplinary, grievance and
sickness procedures. Jeremy also has expertise in the niche area of
ecclesiastical law and has advised a number of Cathedrals as well as
members of the Anglican Communion and the Baptist Union of Great
Britain.
On his appointment Jeremy said “I am very pleased to join Harding
Evans which is now one of the top ten law firms in Wales”. Outside
of work Jeremy is a virger of Llandaff Cathedral and also runs a
youth club.
Zep Bellavia, Managing Partner of Harding Evans comments “Jeremy is
a high calibre lawyer and we are delighted he has joined our firm.
He brings with him a great deal of expertise to an already strong
team. We continue to offer our clients a first class service as well
as investing in specialist legal services such as employment law”.
The firm now has nearly 120 staff at its city centre office in
Newport and has recently invested substantially in digital dictation
and case management which helps maintain an efficient and
professional service to its clients.
