Harding Evans Solicitors and Barclays Bank are jointly holding a
seminar on the Disability Discrimination Act and its implications
for businesses.
The seminar will take place on 26th February at the Celtic Manor
Golf Club and starting time will be 6pm for 6.30pm. The speakers
are Stephen Jackson, head of employment at Harding Evans and Kalpana
Shyamapant, an employment solicitor also at Harding Evans.
The government claim that the cost to businesses for compliance
with the new laws under the Disability Discrimination Act will be
£1 billion. The most significant effect will be the requirement
for businesses to physically alter their buildings and premises
to make them accessible for disabled people. But the seminar will
show that the Act is much more than about installing ramps.
The seminar is free, but due to large numbers expected, places
will be reserved on a first come, first served basis. If you would
like to book a place (maximum of 2 places per company) please contact
Neil Canning, Marketing Manager at Harding Evans on 01633 244233.
