Regional law firm Harding Evans
has been crowned Welsh Law Firm of the Year at the annual Welsh
Law Awards. The Newport based practice beat off strong competition
from several larger Cardiff firms to take the title.
The Awards Ceremony was held at Cardiff City Hall and around 300
people attended the high profile event. The Law Firm of the Year
award was accepted for Harding Evans by Partner and Head of Family
Law Ceri Price. In her acceptance speech she said “This is
a tremendous achievement and is due to the hard work and dedication
of all our staff. This award is great for Harding Evans and for
Newport. We are delighted to win in the face of such strong Cardiff
competition”.
All law firms in Wales had the opportunity to submit their nominations
for a number of award categories, including Law Firm of the Year.
Three finalists were then selected for each category and the winner
was announced at the Awards Ceremony.
In submitting their nomination Harding
Evans emphasised their strong growth in recent years, their range
of highly regarded legal specialists, as well as their investment
in client care and new technology – including digital dictation
and webdata which enables conveyancing clients to view progress
of their case on the internet 24 hours a day. The firm also highlighted
the substantial progress made in transforming their image and the
range of value-added services offered to clients.
Zep Bellavia, Managing Partner at Harding Evans comments “We
would like to thank all our clients and referrers for supporting
us over the years, without whom we wouldn’t have won this
award. We look forward to their continued support in the coming
years”.
