Harding Evans boasts a team of
3 employment lawyers and delivers specialist employment advice to
some of the largest organisations in South Wales. Collectively the
team has expertise covering the full spectrum of employment issues
including:

• Disciplinary hearings, dismissals and grievances
• Employment Tribunal and Court representation
• Redundancies, lay-offs and re-structuring of businesses

A mark of its success was the winning of the prestigious
and exclusive Legal Services Commission contract and Community Legal
Service quality mark to provide specialist employment law advice
and support to Citizens Advice Bureaux, the Disability Rights Commission,
Racial Equality Commission, Equal Opportunities Commission and other
providers of legal services in the Gwent and Dyfed Powys areas.
The team has also developed an excellent
reputation in the Gwent market for delivery of seminars and has
in place a comprehensive seminar and training programme. Whilst
continuing to assist applicants, the department is rapidly expanding
its employer client base, and is winning over significant employers
in the region.
Stephen is a well respected employment law
specialist and a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
He has significant experience and acts predominately for employers
and senior management. Significant clients have included Gilesports
Plc, Seconds Ahead LLP and Expamet Building Products. Stephen
has appeared successfully in the Employment Tribunals and
Employment Appeal Tribunals.
Jeya previously worked on the high
profile Bloody Sunday Inquiry and prior to that the North
Wales Child Abuse Inquiry. She subsequently chose to specialise
in employment law and regularly advises employers and employees
on all aspects of employment law including sex discrimination,
unfair dismissal, breach of contract, disability discrimination
as well as drafting contracts and procedures.
Jeremy has considerable employment
law experience and undertakes a range of work including
drafting terms and conditions, contracts of employment,
discrimination (including disability, religion/belief and
sexual orientation), and also managing disciplinary,
grievance and sickness procedures. He also has expertise in
ecclesiastical law and has advised the Anglican Communion
and the Baptist Union of Great Britain.

Ashley is currently working within
the Employment Department, and undertakes a wide range of work
for both commercial and private clients. He undertook both his
undergraduate studies in law and his legal practice course at
the University of Wales Cardiff.
